COVID -19 Update

HealthFit is monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic daily and we are committed to making our facility one of the safest places you can visit outside of your home. ​ We realize the impact this virus is having on you, our valued patients, and are committed to your health and well-being. You can rest assured that you will receive high-quality, compassionate care in a safe environment. ​

 

We are following OSHA, CDC, and WHO recommended guidelines to minimize the risk of person-to-person COVID-19 exposure in our practice. The health and safety of our patients, customers, and employees is our top priority.

What we are doing to keep our employees and patients safe:
  • Screening patients of COVID-like symptoms.

  • Require face masks for all employees, patients and visitors entering the building.

  • Cleaning rooms thoroughly between patients, classes and treatments.

  • Cleaning high-touch common areas multiple times a day.

  • Practicing social distancing.

  • Staggered appointment schedules.

  • Employee temperature checks.

If you are experiencing a fever or respiratory symptoms, such as coughing or shortness of breath, please stay home and call 847-873-0032 to cancel your appointment.

#HEALTHY AT HOME- ADVICE ON STAYING HEALTHY from the World Health Organization 

The COVID-19 pandemic means that many of us are staying at home and doing less in terms of social interactions and exercise. This can have a negative effect on your physical and mental health.  Below is advice to help you and your family to stay healthy at home during this period of confinement.

  • Stay physically active.

  • Look after your mental health.

  • Keep a routine.

  • Allocate time for working, time for resting.

  • Make time for doing things you enjoy and self-care.

  • Stay connected and social - by telephone and online channels.

  • Maintain a healthy diet for supporting your immune system.

  • Quite using tobacco.

  • Watch your alcohol intake -  it's easy to over indulge during stressful times.
