The first line of defense is always keeping your immune system as healthy and strong as possible. But did you know that acupuncture and essential oils can help you?
Regular acupuncture can be a very effective way to keep your immune system stronger, but there are many other things you can be doing at home as well. Get plenty of good quality sleep to let your body rejuvenate; this is key to keeping your immune system strong! Drink plenty of water, eat clean healthy foods, get regular exercise, and wash your hands a lot with good old fashioned soap and water, especially if you’re around others who might be sick. In addition, I regularly diffuse an immune support essential oil blend to help me stay healthy.If you do get sick, a healthy immune system will help you get better faster. And as you know, you should always cover coughs and sneezes, stay home if you’re sick, and if you really have a sense that something is wrong, see a doctor.
Acupuncture can actually help your body push that “pathogen” (viral or bacterial) out of your system, and alleviate the symptoms.
Essential oils are made from many of the same plants used in Chinese herbal medicine, and can be extremely effective for combating the flu. Here’s an awesome recipe that is the essential oil equivalent of a Z-Pack!
Sinuses really plugged up and painful? Try this Sinus Bomb essential oil recipe. This baby clears them right out! But keep your eyes closed as you inhale.
Other options: use a respiratory essential oil blend topically on your chest, or dab a small amount on the sinus areas near the cheeks and forehead to help reduce the mucous/phlegm building up and relieve coughs, and you can diffuse your immune support essential oil blend more, and use it topically on the bottoms of your feet more regularly while you’re sick.
